The Manor Township Police Department takes pride in maintaining one of the most highly trained departments in the area. The Manor Township Police Department has officers specializing in a variety of areas including Accident Reconstruction, Evidence Technician, Emergency Driving, Firearms, Arrest Control, First Aid, and Verbal Judo.

The Police Department is divided into 3 divisions, each with a different responsibility and area of expertise. By working together, the various divisions are able to use their knowledge to cooperatively solve problems and deliver high quality law enforcement services. The three divisions are as follows:

Patrol Division
The Patrol Division is the largest and most visible division. The uniformed officers riding in the marked police cars, riding the bicycles, and walking on foot patrol are part of the Patrol Division. The Patrol Division is responsible for enforcing traffic laws and investigating vehicle accidents. The Patrol Division is also responsible for initiating criminal investigations and, in many cases, making an arrest and handling the prosecution. Patrol Officers also spend much of their time in proactive preventive patrol in an effort to increase visibility and reduce crime.

Detective Division
The Detective Division includes the Detectives, Crime Scene Technician, Evidence/Property Room, and the civilian support staff. The Detective Division is made up of a Sergeant and two Detectives who are responsible for criminal investigations. The Officers assigned to the Detective Division normally dress in suits and drive unmarked police vehicles and always carry their badges to identify themselves as Police Officers.

Community Policing Division
The Community Policing Division includes the handling of all of the special events in the community. The Manor Township Police Department has an active crime prevention program with activities such as DARE, TEAM, bicycle rodeos, the Youth Aid Panel, and police station tours for children.

The Manor Township Police Department asks the assistance of the community so that together we can reduce crime. Please promptly report any suspicious activity so that our law enforcement professionals can investigate and take action. You, the citizens play a key role in the reduction of crime in Manor Township.
